Agency for sports tourism Hitko Rafting commenced operations in 1999, and was the first agency of its kind on the Neretva River. It is located on the Ban Vir, between Boračko Lake and Glavatičevo. The agency is engaged in organizing rafting and accommodation in ethno village Ban Vir, as well as canyoning, motocross, kayaking and hiking.
The owner of the Agency is Muhidin-Hitko Hadžiosmanović, the man who is paddling on white rivers for 45 years.
NERETVA
Only one river in Herzegovina didn’t disappear underground and it with its affluent streams form one of the most beautiful valleys. That’s river Neretva, “Nil” of herzegovina, waterway and, “source of life” for this region. It managed with its power to owercome giants of mountains and reached its overlasting aim-thesea.
The source of river Neretvais beneath mountain Jabuka in Herzegovina, 1000m high above sea-level, and it pours into the sea near Metkovic with its rivermouth’s with about 118400 m2. It makes the river one of the biggest affluent rivers of Adriatic sea.
